There is a story behind the purple hats. You see my Grammie wore a purple hat to church even before that purple hat poem became so popular. She was so known for it that the minister talked about it at her funeral, calling her Purple Pearl (Her name was Pearl.) After she passaed away, my step-mom found these purple hats and bought one for all of the great-grand daughters. Morgan wasn't home, or I would have her posing too. So... these are the girls in their purple Pearl hats!
They had a great time and were so silly with the necklaces from our neighbor, Allison. Kelsey had her necklace on sideways like Daniel's guitar strap!
Before you ask.... Aunt Phyllis.... here is the shutterfly link!
Ok. My older kids think I am officially nuts. I actually took pictures of them in the parking lot of Uno's! Chuck went to NY to attend a funeral. The kids and I stayed behind. We were leaving the restaurant with the little ones on Daniel and Morgan's shoulders. It was so cute. It was windy and they were all laughing! I just happened to have my camera handy.... (imagine that!).
It reminds me of a time a long time ago. Daniel and Morgan were about 4 and 1 and they rode around on my brothers' shoulders. Mike and Chris raced around with Daniel and Morgan perched up high in their PJs! That was of course, before the days of digital cameras, so those photos are in albums. I will have to see if I can scan them or something!
PS Daniel and Morgan are great kids! They are so good with their sisters. Plus they do cute things and make me proud all the time!! Unfortunately, they don't like me to blog about their adventures.... suffice it to say they are cute too!
Daniel started his job today! He is working at Ken-Taco-Hut (Kentucky Fried Chicken, Taco Bell, and Pizza Hut combined). Today was orientation, so no uniform pics. But don't you worry, I will get one soon! My baby has a job!
Kelsey turned 3 on Thursday! She had a great day... opened a couple of presents in the morning and had a celebrations with her friends at daycare. We had ice cream cake for our family celebration at home. Now that she is 3, she has decided to pose... so cute!
Rachel will be 3, 30 days after Kelsey. We are having a joint birthday party for them and their friends half way between their birthdays. Look for that celebration in mid April!
We love the safari park. It is the only tourist thing we do while we are at JellyStone. Rachel tolerated the animals a little better this year. She still like to sit with Daddy in the front with Daddy behind the closed windows! She liked the smaller animals like deer and pigs. When she saw a cow or an elk with a snotty nose, she said, "Eeewwe, icky nose!" LOL! That is the same thing she says when her nose runs.
6,335 Typpad
3,748 Counter
1,117 Feedburner
Ok! I do not understand counters, feeds, etc. Typepad (the service I use to run my site) says that I have had 6,335 visitors. The counter on the side of my blog says that I have had 3,748 visitors. The map on the right has my visitors coming from different cities, but the listing below the map don’t match with the cities.
I am sure that I must have them sent all differently. For example: one probably counts the feedcatchers and readers that hit the site. The others might only catch live hits.
Hmmm… ok, who out there is an expert on feeds and such. Can you give me some suggestions or pointers? Thanks!!
(Yes, family and friends you can ignore this. This is me asking my blogging buddies for help!)
