Swimming Cousins and An Aunt!

Daniel and Morgan went whale watching with Jeff, Courtney, Uncle Jim, and Darius. The little girls swam at our camp. FYI... Aunt Phyllis is my(Karen's) aunt. Carol is her daughter, my cousin! Jasmine is her daughter. THe girls are very close in age. Kelsey was 3 in March, Rachel was 3 in April, and Jasmine was 3 in July. They had a great time! We wish we lived closer!

Cape Cod Pictures!

I am finally getting my computer up and running. I lost some, but not all of my photos. (I had most of them stored at Shutterfly.com. ) I am having to re-install all my programs. Anyway... here are some pictures from the Cape. We went to the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory to see how they made chips. Yummy!! The group shot is of my 4 kiddos and my cousin, Carol's, 2 kids (Darius 8 and Jasmine 3). The little ones were not thrilled about having their picture taken. The other shots are of us at a local Chinese restaurant and the girls playing on the cabin floor.

Swimming with Family

After the long ride, we had a picnic at my parents' house. I have two brothers (Mike and Chris). They both live locally and came by to visit with their families. Mike's son, Michael, just turned 2 and is adorable! Morgan, Kelsey, and Rachel had a good time playing with him. Daniel was there too, but he was busy texting and eating and didn't get in the pool. I will have to get his picture tomorrow!

Traveling: Oh my!

I must be totally out of my mind!!!! Do you have any idea how far it is to drive in a car on a holiday weekend with 4 kids in the car?????? Actually, the little girls and I drove to Maryland (3 hours) on Saturday. We stayed in a hotel in Maryland. The older kids were visiting family in Maryland, so we were picking them up on the way. Three hours wasn't so bad. We only had to stop and use the bathroom once. The hotel was fun... but neither little girl wanted to sleep... and they out numbered me!! (Chuck isn't coming up until later in the week.) I was looking forward to them falling asleep around 9, so I could go on the Internet and answer a few email, etc. No way-- they were not sleeping! So, I lay down with them and it still took an hour and a half to fall asleep. By that time, I was tired.

Daniel and Morgan came over to the hotel first thing in the morning. We were on the road for a 6 hour and 23 minute trip by 8:40 in the morning. Well... with the potty stops, the "I'm hungry", traffic, and bickering.. the 6hr 23min trip took 7hr 50min!!! Needless to say, I was fried by the end of the trip. All is well now, we are safely  here and have been visiting with family. However, the next long trip that I take with the little ones will be when they are about 8!!!!

PS About 3 hours into the trip, the girls discovered that the fastest way to get out of the car seat was to yell, "POTTY!" OK, that worked for about 4 stops and they did go each time, but I resorted to pull-ups and only stopping every 1 1/2 hrs to potty.
